Ron Engen is the founder of this project and due to his love of music and desire to help other people in-need, we set out on our mission. It was a Wednesday, mid-October, when Ron came home with the idea for the Christmas Jam CD and by Friday the walls for a recording studio were built.
The response to our mission was overwhelming from people willing to give of their time and talents. Blessed with Ryan Gunderson, a young studio engineer, he has given every waking minute during the past six weeks capturing the sonic beauty the musicians brought to the ranch. Tied together with Kelly Cook, operations/engineering and his numerous contacts and hours on the phone, has kept this project on track.
We are left in awe with the artists, whom after having traveled so many miles, with only the promise of a home cooked meal, have given soulful performances for this project. The variety of musical talents within will provide enjoyment to all ages. With the season of giving at hand it is our goal to bring the Midwest music to you with the two-fold reward of donating to the area food shelves in their time of need.
We at Ramblin Ranch thank you!
